Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Qari Khairullah on Wednesday averted the car bomb attack in Bajaur. According to the police, Khairullah had remained safe in the blast. The police had launched the search operation after the incident. Khairullah is the candidate of the JUI-F from KP-19 in the forthcoming elections. On Sunday, the incident of firing erupted on Sunday near the convoy of JUI-F supremo Maulana Fazlur Rehman at the CPEC Toll Plaza in DI Khan. The JUI-F provincial secretary said, “Maulana Fazl Rehman is in house. We do not have an idea who opened the fire and why. The vehicle of Maulana Fazl Rehman’s cavalcade was passing at the time of the firing.” DI Khan RPO stated: “The JUI-F’s cavalcade was not attacked. But the police checkpost had been targeted at the Yarik interchange.” He made it clear that JUI-F supremo Maulana Fazlur Rehman was not present during the incident.
